I recommend to go visit Istria (Bigest Croatian peninsula) especialy region near city Pula. In circle of 12 km you have beautyfull natural park Kamenjak, with thousands of small stone beaches, ideal for surfing, diving schools in Banjole, roman history monuments in Pula, national park Brijuni...
